Fees and Child Care Subsidy

Families deserve clarity and confidence when planning their child's early learning. Our fee structure is simple and transparent: one daily rate for all age groups, all year round, before your Child Care Subsidy is applied.

Daily and weekly fees

Daily fee

$154.42 per day

The same rate for babies, toddlers and kindergarten. No extra fee for casual bookings.

Full-time weekly fee

$733.50 per week

Five days a week, including a 5% full-time attendance discount ($146.70 per day).

Sibling discount

5% off

For the second and each subsequent child: $146.70 per day.

Holiday discount

35% off

For up to 4 weeks of holidays per financial year: $100.37 per day.

Your out-of-pocket cost will usually be lower. These are full fees before the Child Care Subsidy. We are approved for CCS, ACCS and other applicable fee subsidies. How much you receive depends on your family income and activity level.

Child Care Subsidy

Estimate your out-of-pocket cost

Most families pay far less than the full daily fee once the Child Care Subsidy is applied. How much less depends on your combined family income, your activity hours and how many children you have in care.

Rather than build our own calculator, we point families to CCS Checker, a free, independent online calculator. Enter your details and it estimates your subsidy percentage and weekly out-of-pocket cost. Use our daily fee of $154.42 and a session length of 9 or 10 hours.

For your actual entitlement, use the Services Australia estimator in myGov, or ask us on your tour: we are happy to walk you through it.

Please note: CCS Checker is an independent website that is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by Wyndham Vale Montessori Centre. We provide the link for convenience only and without any guarantee. The figures it produces are estimates, not a determination of your entitlement, and we accept no liability for their accuracy, completeness or currency, or for any inconsistency between them and the subsidy Services Australia actually assesses for your family. Your subsidy is set solely by Services Australia.

What is included

  • Your child's full Montessori program
  • Five meals a day, prepared fresh by our chef
  • Nappies, wipes, tissues and sunscreen

Sessions

Our minimum session is 9 hours, which works well for families who receive 72 hours of CCS per fortnight and wish to attend 4 days a week. We also offer a 10-hour session.

Attendance, changes and withdrawals

  • First and last day: children must attend their first and last booked day of care for CCS to be applied. If they do not attend, the full daily fee may be charged.
  • Changing days: a minimum of 4 weeks' written notice is required to reduce or change booked days. All changes are subject to availability.
  • Withdrawing: we require 4 weeks' written notice if you wish to withdraw your child.
  • Public holidays: we are closed on all Victorian public holidays. Fees still apply, because your child's place is held and staffing costs continue.
  • Open all year: we operate 52 weeks a year.

Fees and subsidy questions

How are childcare fees calculated?

We charge one daily rate for every booked day, the same for all age groups. Discounts apply for full-time attendance, siblings and holidays, and your Child Care Subsidy is deducted from the fee.

Do I still pay if my child is absent?

Yes. Fees are charged for all booked days, including absences due to illness, holidays or personal reasons. This is standard practice across the sector.

What is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS)?

The CCS is an Australian Government payment that helps families with the cost of approved childcare. The amount you receive depends on your family income, your activity hours and the type of service.

How can I estimate what I will actually pay?

Use the free, independent CCS Checker calculator with our daily fee of $154.42 and a 9 or 10-hour session. It gives an estimate only; Services Australia determines your actual subsidy.

How do I apply for CCS?

Apply through your myGov account under Centrelink services. You will need to provide the required documents and confirm your child's enrolment before CCS can start.

What is ACCS and how does it affect my fees?

The Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) supports families experiencing hardship or particular circumstances. Families approved for ACCS may have reduced out-of-pocket fees.

Do you offer sibling or holiday discounts?

Yes. We offer a 5% sibling discount, a 35% holiday discount for up to 4 weeks per financial year, and a 5% discount for full-time attendance.

What happens if my CCS or ACCS is not approved, or stops?

Families are responsible for paying the full fee until CCS or ACCS is approved or reinstated. Any backdated subsidy is applied once it has been processed by Centrelink.

When are fees due?

Fees are billed weekly, every Monday, and are paid one week in advance. Direct debit is the preferred payment method.

What if I fall behind on payments?

Please contact the centre straight away. We encourage open communication so we can work with you before the account becomes overdue.

Are public holidays charged?

Yes. Public holidays are charged because your child's place is held for them and staffing costs still apply.

What happens when my child's enrolment ends?

All outstanding fees must be paid before the final day. CCS cannot be applied to absences after the last day your child physically attends.

Can I change my child's booked days?

Yes, depending on availability. Four weeks' written notice is required for changes or cancellations.

What if my child stays longer than our 10-hour session?

We always make sure the attendance we submit to Centrelink aligns with your CCS-eligible hours. A half-hour allowance is included in the session, so if your child stays a little longer than 10 hours it is still covered and will not affect your CCS.

What is the minimum session length?

Our minimum session is 9 hours. This works well for families who receive 72 hours of CCS per fortnight and wish to attend 4 days a week.
