  • Daily Fee: $148.20 per day
  • Full-Time Weekly Fee: $703.95 per week (Includes a 5% discount for children attending on a full-time weekly basis)

Attendance, Changes & Withdrawals

To ensure smooth operations and continued eligibility for government subsidies, the following policies apply:

  • First & Last Day Attendance: Children must attend their first and last booked day of care to ensure the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is applied. Failure to attend may result in the full daily fee being charged.
  • Change in Attendance: A minimum of 4 weeks’ written notice is required to reduce or change booked days. All changes are subject to availability.
  • Withdrawal from Service: We require 4 weeks’ written notice if you wish to withdraw your child from our service.

Subsidies, Public Holidays & Operating Weeks

We aim to support families by aligning with government funding and maintaining consistent availability.

  • Our centre is approved for CCS, ACCS, and other applicable fee subsidies
  • We are closed on all Victorian public holidays (fees still apply on public holidays)
  • Wyndham Vale Montessori Centre operates 52 weeks per year

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How are childcare fees calculated?

Fees are usually charged on a daily or sessional rate and vary depending on the child’s age group, room, and the type of service (long day care, kindergarten program, etc.).

Do I still need to pay fees if my child is absent?

Yes. Fees are charged for all booked days, including absences due to illness, holidays, or personal reasons. This is standard practice across the sector.

What is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS)?

The CCS is a government payment that helps families with the cost of childcare. The amount you receive depends on your family income, activity hours, and the type of childcare service.

How do I apply for CCS?

You can apply through your MyGov account under Centrelink services. Families must provide all required documents and confirm their enrolment for CCS to start.

What is ACCS and how does it affect my fees?

The Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) supports families experiencing hardship or specific circumstances. Families approved for ACCS may have reduced out‑of‑pocket fees.

Do you offer sibling or holiday discounts?

Yes, Our current policy does include sibling discounts, holiday discounts, or the 5% attendance discount.

What happens if my CCS/ACCS is not approved or stops?

Families are responsible for paying the full fee until CCS/ACCS is approved or reinstated. Any backdated subsidy will be applied once processed by Centrelink.

When are fees due?

Fees are typically billed weekly (every monday) and must be paid in one week advance. Direct debit is the preferred payment method.

What if I fall behind on payments?

Please contact the centre immediately. We encourage open communication so we can work with you before the account becomes overdue.

Are public holidays charged?

Yes. Public holidays are charged because the child’s place is held for them, and staffing costs still apply.

What happens if my child’s enrolment ends?

All outstanding fees must be paid before the final day. CCS cannot be applied to absences after the last physical attendance.

Can I change my child’s booking days?

Yes, depending on availability. Four weeks’ written notice is usually required for changes or cancellations.

What happens if my child attends more than 10 hours, but we are on a 10‑hour session?

At Wyndham Vale Montessori, we always ensure that the attendance we submit to Centrelink aligns with your CCS‑eligible hours. There is also a 0.5‑hour levy included in the session, so if your child stays a little longer than the 10‑hour session, it will still be covered and won’t affect your CCS.

What is the minimum session length you provide?

Our minimum session is 9 hours. This option works well for families who receive 72 hours of CCS per fortnight and wish to attend 4 days a week.
